This is how you live with your one broken heart: you give it away. (41)
You have only one decision every day: how will you use your time? (59)
No one can measure the length of your life, but you can always determine that your life has meaning. (61)
Time isn't something you seize, it's something you sacrifice. It's not something to grab, it's something to give. (62)
Live every day like you're terminal. Because you are. Live every day like your soul's eternal. Because it is. (70)
What if instead of waiting for good enough things to happen to us, we could be the good thing to happen to someone else who's waiting. (87)
You are where you are for such a time as this - not to make an impression but to make a difference. ... No change of circumstances can change your life like meaning and purpose can. No certain place can give you abundant life like a certain purpose can. Like purpose and meaning and connection can. (91)
You do something great with your life when you do all the small things with His great love.
The only way to live a truly remarkable life is not to get everyone to notice you, but to leave noticeable marks of His love everywhere you go. (109)
I am what I love and I will love you like Jesus, because of Jesus, through the strength of Jesus. I will love when I'm not loved back. I will love when I'm hurt and disappointed and betrayed and inconvenienced and rejected. I simply will love, no expectations, no conditions, no demands. Love is not always agreement with someone, but it is always sacrifice for someone. ... For what is faith, what is love, if it is not practiced? (120)
There are very few men who realize what God would make of them if they abandoned themselves into His hands and let themselves be formed by His Grace. - Ignatius (126)
Maybe it is better to give than to receive because it's only when we give that we receive what we truly need. (129)
Your heart is beautiful - especially the broken edges where you let the love get in. (153)
Accept the tension of feeling yourself led to the edge of yourself.
In the raw experience of 'I cannot do this', you experience how He remakes you into someone who can. And our broken hearts are called to that impossible, because that is who He, He who is in us, makes us: the impossables. (160)
It definitely gets harder before it gets easier. But it will definitely get better- if you don't give up when it's hardest. So let's not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a crop if we don't give up, or quit. (162)
You don't jugde your feelings, you feel feelings - and then give them to God. (170)
Do the next thing. When nothing feels simple, simply do the next thing.
Never be afraid of broken things - because Christ is redeeming everything.
A passionate life is a sacrificial life. A life that wants to embrace Christ is a life that must embrace suffering. A life of giving is ultimately the most live-giving. (242)
Faith is confidence in the kindness of God, no matter the confusion of circumstances. (247)
It`s always the broken heart that breaks broken hearts free. (257)
